Slovenian Bowling Association of Victoria
The Slovenian Bowling Association of Victoria started in 1974. The idea was not behind this association was not only for bowling reasons, but also to create an opportunity for the Slovenian Clubs in Victoria to compete in a friendly atmosphere and thereby creating a type of unity between the participating Clubs.
Each year there is a competition with teams comprising of 3 men?s triples and either one ladies? quad or two doubles. Each Club then hosts a competition where teams compete against each other and at the end of the season all the results are collated and the winners are awarded trophies at the annual Bowlers? Presentation Night (usually in May) and is held at one of the Clubs on a rotating basis.
Each Club also organises individual annual competitions where players compete for that Club?s trophy.

Other major activity beside hunting and fishing, is competition target shooting with Air Rifle, on 10 meters range. Annual Hunters Dance (Lovska veselica), and picnic in the country are always popular with members and guests, and therefore well attended. Besides already mentioned activities, members meet socially on Friday evening in the Hunters Lodge, for Air Rifle shooting training or a game of cards and billiard. The Hunters Lodge is an attractive log cabin build on the side of a hill under pine trees on the clubs property. Many people refer to the property as "Little Slovenja on the hill" surrounded by Pine Trees.
There are four Slovenian Hunters Clubs in Victoria, which are working together and competing against each other in Air Rifle Shooting competitions as well as meeting at least once a year social. Slovenian Hunters Union of Victoria is coordinating this activities. Other members of Victorian Hunters Union are; Hunters club of "Planica? Springvale,"Ivan Cankar"Geelong and "Happy Hunters" of St. Albans. At the beginning Hunters club from Slovenian Association Sydney and Istrian Club from Melbourne also participated in the Union, both later dropped away.
